Ademola Wellington is the Head Of Department ICT Lagos Pension Commission
Ademola Wellington was born in Lagos on the 17th of January 1983.
He had his early education at Chrisland School Opebi Ikeja, Lagos between 1988 – 1994 and his Secondary Education at Lagos State Model College Igbogbo Ikorodu between 1994 – 2000. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Lagos, between 2001 and 2007. He proceeded further to obtain a Master of Geographic Information at the same institution in the Year 2017 – 2019. He is a member of a professional body, the Computer Profesional of Nigeria (CPN), He has over the years attended many courses on it such as Cyber Security, I.T.I.L; SQL, and Project Management amongst others.
Wellington Ademola was employed as a Programme Analyst GL 08 in the Lagos State Civil Service in October 2011 and assumed duty on 24th October 2011 in the Ministry of Science and Technology where he was introduced into the mainstream service and was familiarized with the duties of an ICT officer, He was trained by well-seasoned programme analyst in the Ministry of Science and Technology. He was deployed to the defunct Political and Legislative Powers Bureau now the Office of Civic Engagement in the year January 2012 where he worked in the ICT unit for three and a half years. He later was deployed to the Lagos State Public Work Corporation where he worked as an ICT officer where he helped grew the ICT unit of LSPWC from scratch to a fully blown ICT unit for 6years.
In February 2022, He was deployed to Lagos State Pension Commission as a Chief Programme Analyst to Head the ICT unit, saddled with the adoption of e-governance in Lagos State and the automation of operational activities and processes in LASPEC for better and faster public service delivery.
