Olumuyiwa Oshin is the Executive Director Finance & Investment Lagos State Pension Commission

Muyiwa is an investment banker with a remarkable depth of transaction experience. He has over 24 years investment banking experience encompassing equity & debt fund raisings, corporate restructuring, financial & investment advisory, structured finance, mergers & acquisitions, privatization advisory, corporate finance amongst others.

He was appointed Executive Director, Finance & Investment, Lagos State Pension Commission by Mr. Governor – Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu in January 2020. A role which enabled him to utilise his investment banking experience to bear in the pension industry.

Muyiwa started his financial services career in 1996 at Interstate Securities Limited – a stockbroking firm and member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He joined the old First Atlantic Bank Plc in 2002, where he was a core member of the award-winning Investment Banking Team from 2002 to 2004. He moved to the old Magnum Trust Bank in 2004 and was instrumental in the setting up of the Investment Banking department. Following the merger of Magnum into Sterling Bank Plc in 2006, the Investment Banking department transitioned to Sterling Capital Markets Limited. He left in 2012 to join Kedari Capital Limited as Head, Corporate Finance & Advisory rising to Executive Director by the time he left to set up Unicorn Capital Limited In 2017. He was the pioneer Chief Executive Officer of Unicorn Capital Limited until his appointment to Lagos State Pension Commission in January 2020.

Prior to co-founding Unicorn Capital Limited, he was also a former Non-Executive Director at First Atlantic Brokers Limited, Ghana. He was also on the Board of WCM Capital Limited (Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange), where he served as Chairman of the Board Audit & Risk Management Committee.

He graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University, with a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (1991) and a master’s degree holder in Public Administration (MPA) as well as a second master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Lagos State University in 2000 and 2005 respectively. He is a Chartered Stockbroker and Authorised Dealing Clerk of the Nigerian Exchange Limited as well as a member of The Institute of Directors (IoD).

He is happily married with kids.
