Morenike Makinde is the Head of the Technical Department at the Lagos State Pension Commission, where she provides strategic and operational leadership for the valuation, computation, certification, and issuance of retirement benefits to public sector retirees across Lagos State. In this role, she oversees critical processes that ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of pension benefits within the Contributory Pension Scheme.

She is a seasoned finance and strategy professional with over 18 years of experience in the financial services sector, spanning pension administration, product development, strategic planning, budget management, and stakeholder relationship management. Her career reflects a strong track record of results-driven leadership and institutional strengthening within complex regulatory environments.

Morenike holds an MBA in Business Administration and Strategy from Lagos Business School and a Certificate in Pan-African Business from IESE Business School, Barcelona. She is also a qualified management accounting professional, having earned an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting (CIMA Adv. Dip MA) from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at the International School of Management, Paris, where her research focuses on micro-pensions as a pathway to financial inclusion for women in the informal sector.
