The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reiterated its commitment to the welfare of workers and retirees as it presented retirement bond certificates worth ₦1.5 billion to 832 public servants..

The Lagos State Government has once again demonstrated its consistency in pension administration with the disbursement of over ₦1 billion in accrued pension rights to 463 retirees from the state’s civil service.

The Lagos State Government on Monday 8th September, 2025 presented retirement bond certificates worth ₦1.52 billion to 798 retirees from the state’s public service, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of workers after service.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday, disbursed a total of N1.5 billion to 742 retirees of the Lagos State Public Service. This is part of the 109th Batch Retirement Benefit Bond Certificates Presentation Ceremony held at NECA House. Lagos State Head of Service, Bode Agoro, disclosed this in his goodwill message at the event.

The Lagos State Government has paid N740 million accrued pension rights to another set of 348 retirees. Mr Babalola Obilana, Director General, Lagos State Pension Commission(LASPEC), confirmed this at the 107th batch retirement bond certificate presentation ceremony on Friday in Lagos.
