The Executive Governor Of Lagos State presented N3.1 billion to 1,013 happy retirees in an emotionally filled mega bond presentation ceremony. In his speech at the event Mr. Governor Babajide Sanwoolu noted that..
“Today, during the 103rd Batch Retirement Bond Certificate Presentation, I had the honour of presenting N3.1 billion to 1,013 retirees in recognition of their unwavering dedication to Lagos State. I engaged with happy retirees who have ensured our state remains the leader across different indices in Nigeria.
This payment of N3.1billion alongside their monthly contributions which have already been remitted into their respective Retirement Savings Accounts with the Pension Fund Administrators is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our administration to the welfare and well-being of retirees.
Since the inception of this administration, we have paid a sum of N56,551,761,900.88 into the Retirement Savings Accounts (RSAs) of 16,026 Retirees in the Mainstream, Local Government, State Universal Basic Board (SUBEB), Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and other Parastatals of the State Government.
Next month, we will pay another N4 billion as Lagos continues to lead in pension benefits administration.
We thank the Y2024 Africa Brand Awards for affirming our gold standard in employee welfare with special recognition. Kudos to the Lagos State Pension Commission for their dedication and professionalism.
Congratulations once again to the retirees. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed. As we work towards a “Pay As You Go” model, know that inclusion and elevation are at the core of our open government.
