The Lagos State Government through the Lagos State Pension Commission( LASPEC) on Friday, 30th January, 2026, at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa held its 113th Retirement Benefit Bond Presentation Ceremony with the presentation of accrued pension rights to the tune of N1,014,835,820.8 (One billion, fourteen million, eight hundred and thirty-five thousand, eight hundred and twenty naira, eight kobo) only into the Retirement Savings Accounts of 544 retirees in the Mainstream Civil Service, Local Government and Local Council Development Areas,Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and other Parastatals of the State Government.
The Retirement Benefit Bonds ceremony are a direct reflection of accrued rights earned through years of service. They are a tangible fulfilment of the State Government’s obligations and their issuance underscores a system built on responsibility and consistency.
However, since inception of the Contributory Pension Scheme in 2007, the consistent payment of retirement benefits in Lagos State is not only just a policy; it is a promise kept with gratitude and respect which have been possible with the unwavering dedication of Mr. Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu who recognizes and honours the years of service and sacrifice retirees have given to our great State.
